News from NIS America

NIS America have announced multi-platform updates for three different games, across the PS2, Wii, PS3, and DS.

For starters, Sakura Taisen V - Farewell My Love, has been renamed Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love. Coming to the PS2, and Nintendo Wii, The game will ship in a double disk deluxe box set. While the English text for both games will be the same, one disc has English voice acting and the other disc has the original Japanese voices and English subtitles. A representative from NIS America explained this solution allows fans to have the original voice acting without cutting anything.
Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love is scheduled to come out this northern winter.

Secondly Disagaea 3, has had Trophies data added as an downloadable patch. The downside of this is that players will have to start a new save file to earn the games trophies, as their old save file wont be compatible.

And finally the Atelier Series of Alchemy themed RPG's, Atelier Annie, will have a North American release in October 09. The Nintendo DS RPG will differ from it's PS2 and PS3 related titles by having less of story 'Point A - Point B' type of game play, and offer a more sim-like experience, by getting players to help build a village-resort.

But don't fear, Atelier Annie keeps the Atelier Series hallmark of Alchemy, Item creation and RPG combat, though that last one will differ from the console versions by offering a more SRPG-styled grid-based battle system.

No More Edits

The errors on the blog that made IE screw it over have been fixed, and now it runs as it should. Custom skin is all nice and shiney with a few minor tweeks here and there, along with a quick CSS refresh to address a few clashing colours. I also have the password to the Galleries script, uploads will be happening, woo.

To keep everyone happy, I'll go post some news.

But wait, there's (not any) more

The conversion of RPGstar from 'News Website' into 'News Blog + Other Stuff' is nearly over.

I just need to fix up the links on the left-nav, and a few other minor issues.

So say goodbye to the old news system as it's put on ice, or as Taz is fond of saying, 'Frozen like a Bia-atrch.'

[Edit:] Left-Nav and Top-Nav links have been fixed. All I need to do is alter the galleries system, and add the last few remaining posts.

[Edit 2:] Looks like I can't remember what on earth the password for the Galleries was. I'll need a few days to find a nice one that fits in with the blog software, then from there port a few thousand images across.

[Edit 3:] For some reason I upgraded the blog software. This broke the custom skin I had previously made. After a good 10 hours, I've got it back tot the way it was, with a few minor bugs here & there.
The benefit of the new software is a security one, along with the fact that the plug-ins are nicer, which will help later on, for when we want the site to look that much more professional with Tazs' layout.

Holy Web-Stats, Batman!

So I just checked to see how many people actually visit this site. We’re breaking 2k a month.

This is much better than then 200 1000 - 1500 I had assumed. Even with crappy update schedules, and delays on the site. Looks like the site will have to become my number one priority for a while then. See how high I can make those numbers fly ;)

Thank you all for putting up with me while I’m over-seas travelling. :)
